First farmed in 1691, Asara has been family-owned throughout its history. Although initially two separate wine farms, the current owners combined both to create an estate that would be a warm, friendly, full-service destination. The name Asara comes from the African gods Astar, Asis and Asase, who represent the earth, the sun and the sky.
