More About Constantia

Klein Constantia is one of the most stunning gems in the wine-producing region of Constantia. It`s set on the foothills of the Constantiaberg, nestled by ancient trees and lush greenery. The premier wine estate was born in 1712 from the division of a vast property named Constantia, which the first governor of the Cape owned. The 146-hectare wine estate boasts a land rich with decomposed granite soils, which are responsible for Klein Constantia`s high-quality wines. Several iconic white wines, particularly Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, are the prized possessions of Klein Constantia. The renowned 18th and 19th century Constantia dessert wine, Vin de Constance, is its pride and joy.
